The ‘MVP mode’ continues in the playoffs as well. Kim Seon-hyeong (SK) recorded a double-double in three consecutive playoff games, which is rare for a domestic player.
Kim Seon-hyeong started the 2022-2023 SKT Adot Pro Basketball Round of 6 playoff game 3 against Jeonju KCC held at Jeonju Gymnasium on the 7th, and played an active role with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists in 36 minutes and 28 seconds. Seoul SK advanced to the semifinals by adding the explosive power of Jamil Warney (30 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists) to a 77-72 come-from-behind victory and sweeping the semifinals.
Kim Seon-hyeong unfortunately missed the first playoff triple-double since Lee Sang-min (then Hyundai) as a domestic player, but left behind a record that can be counted on in KBL history. He recorded a double-double in the third game following the first and second games in the semifinals. In the playoffs, Kim Seon-hyeong is the first case in history to continue a double-double streak in three consecutive games with goals and assists. 먹튀검증
Even including rebounds and other records, a domestic player’s double-double in three consecutive games is an uncommon record. Prior to Kim Seon-hyeong, only two players, Ha Seung-jin (5 games) and Seo Jang-hoon (3 games) achieved this. Kim Seon-hyung not only tied for second place with Seo Jang-hoon, but also challenged for a double-double in 4 consecutive games in the playoffs, the second in history following Ha Seung-jin in the first leg of the semifinals against Changwon LG.
Meanwhile, the record for consecutive double-doubles in the playoffs, including foreign players, is held by Laguna (KCC). Lagunah went through Seoul Samsung and Ulsan Hyundai Mobis, and continued the double-double march in 21 consecutive games. It is the only case of achieving a double-double in 10 or more consecutive games in the playoffs. The joint second place is Artimus McClary (then Samsung) and Jason Williford (then Narae) with 9 games.
