San Diego Padres pitcher Ha-Sung Kim has been scratched for the second straight game.

Kim Ha-seong was scratched from the starting lineup for the Padres’ home game against the Colorado Rockies at Petco Park in San Diego, California, on April 19.

It’s the second straight game he’s been held out of the lineup after missing the final game of the series against Oakland the day before. Sudden abdominal pain is the issue.

“We still don’t know exactly what the problem is,” San Diego manager Bob Melvin told MLB.com and other local media outlets.
We don’t know if the abdominal pain is a muscle issue or a digestive issue. With about two weeks left in the season, Melvin’s status for the rest of the season will depend on the cause.

“It’s a factor that he’s feeling a little bit better,” Melvin said. That’s a good sign,” Melvin said.

San Diego’s lineup against left-hander Ty Blach will be Xander Bogaerts (shortstop), Fernando Tatis Jr. (right field), Juan Soto (left field), Manny Machado (designated hitter), Luis Camposano (catcher), Garrett Cooper (first base), Matthew Barten (second base), Jose Azocar (center field) and Egui Rosario (third base). The starting pitcher will be Michael Wacha.

Kim isn’t the only one hurting for the Padres.

Third baseman Manny Machado, who has been dealing with elbow pain, told local media that he will have surgery on his elbow soon.

Machado has been playing with elbow pain. It’s no wonder he’s been batting leadoff so often lately. “It wasn’t good,” Machado admitted.

For now, he plans to continue playing until San Diego is officially eliminated from postseason contention. The surgery will come after that. 메이저사이트

He expects to spend six to seven months recovering from the surgery, which shouldn’t affect his readiness for the start of next season.

He’s not the only one hurting. Padres owner Peter Seidler released a statement on Sunday saying that he underwent medical treatment last month and will be unable to take the field for the remainder of the season.
