Reinforcements are coming to the Doosan Bears. Dillon Pyle (27), a foreign pitcher who was closed due to an injury sustained by a hit to the head during spring camp, is about to make his debut in the KBO League. Head coach Lee Seung-yeop said, ahead of the SSG Landers match held at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on the 28th, “I hope to see Dylan every day except for Mondays from next week. I want to show a good figure without injury or sluggishness,” he said, welcoming Dylan’s joining. ㅋㅋㅋ벳
Dylan will make his first appearance in the KBO League in front of home fans. The start of the game against the Hanwha Eagles at Jamsil Stadium on May 4 has been confirmed. He even finished the last real test in the Futures League. On the 27th, he started against the KIA Tigers at Icheon Bears Park and recorded 1 hit, 2 walks, 4 strikeouts and no runs in 4 innings. He threw a total of 69, and the highest speed of his fastball was 150 km. He also finished checking various changing pitches such as slider, curve, and changeup.
Coach Lee said, “Dylan will join the first team from next Tuesday (May 2) and live with the players. He is now preparing to start in Icheon. He checked the status, there is no problem. He decided to throw on May 4th,” he said.
He said, “I hope Dylan comes and throws well. If I play well in the first game, I think I can relieve some of the pressure. Apparently, he was injured on the side of his head, so there is also anxiety. But once you believe in it, go for it. I want to see him throw in a game. If we pitch well, I think we will be able to work out as expected. Then you will be able to think happily.”
